Wonderful two bed stone house (130 sqm), with terrace and with the exceptional benefit of a private wellness area equipped with large hot-tub and sauna, set in a picturesque village. This property has been restored with attention to detail to maintain beautiful rustic charm.

The property is on two levels with beamed living room with fireplace, kitchen, dining room, utility room, large bathroom and two double bedrooms. There is an enclosed private courtyard off the kitchen, which is perfect for outside dining and for relaxing in the sun. The house is well presented with all utilities connected. Heating is with wood burning stoves and fireplace. Beautifully crafted with features which include exposed stone walls, beamed ceilings, stone window and door surrounds and original terracotta floors. The lower floor has been made into a wonderful wellness suite with terracotta floors and exposed stone walls - with new sauna and large hot tub - perfect for relaxing after a hot day.

Set at the edge of the hill town of Comano and walking distance to shops, restaurants and coffee bars. A footpath from the village leads through the woods to a crystal clear river with little waterfalls and rock pools for swimming. Comano is a town at the head of the Taverone valley with a backdrop of the breathtaking Apennine Mountains. There are many walking trails leading from Comano and the surrounding villages to the hills. The town, which is surrounded by the farming community, hosts an annual horse festival in the summer and offers a good selection of facilities.

Lunigiana is a magical part of Tuscany. The hills which encircle Lunigiana create an intimate and relaxed atmosphere whilst the blend of the mountains and sea are extremely inviting to those who enjoy the outdoors. The rolling landscape is liberally sprinkled with castles of Medici or Malaspina vintage and for lovers of the coast the sea is only half-an-hour away. The golden sandy beaches around Lerici and the pebble coves of the Cinque Terre (UNESCO World Heritage site) are ideal for swimming and sailing. The area is criss-crossed with marked footpaths for walks to the hills and mountains. The airports of Pisa, Parma and Genova are all within an hours drive.

Distances: Comano (shops, restaurants, bars) 1 km, Aulla (train & autostrada) 18 km, Lerici (beaches) 40 km, Cinque Terre 50 km, Lucca 90 km, Pisa (airport) 100 km.
