Diano Castello is a little village just outside Diano Marina on the coast, in the region of Imperia. Sitting on a little hilltop with a dominant church tower, this little village offers excellent restaurants, a wellness spa, bicycle tours and much cultural heritage to explore. It has a calm ambiance with a friendly community and it is hard to tire of the pretty buildings. The area has a history of cultivating basil, tomatoes and flowers which can all be found in the local shops. The olive-growing sector is also very important, and the region is known for producing the prized Taggiasca olive oil.

The beaches of Diano Marina have long, sandy stretches and the streets are lined with orange trees giving it the name of 'Citta degli Aranci'. Confident and affluent but less hectic than some of the more famous Ligurian neighbours. An ideal place for a second home or for a permanent base on this wonderful stretch of coastline.
